Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Killer Mike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leonard Read!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Read.
Mike stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mike wants it to stay on the feet.
Read shoots for a double leg takedown but Mike sprawls well. He's pushed Read's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Read walks into a left hand.
Read fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Killer Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Read.
Mike clobbers Read with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Mike drives through and clinches with Read against the cage.
Mike stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Read misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Read has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mike after a bit of a struggle.
Mike lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Mike as Read tries to tie him up.
Mike working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Read is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Mike lands with a left to the head.

Mike lands a shoulder strike.
Read using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mike has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Mike makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Read looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mike throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Reads head.
Read misses with a hook to the ribs.

A short body shot lands from Mike as the two fighters clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mike creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

I was talking to Mike's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mike lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Read to his knees! Mike keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
