Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Misao Shimada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Henry Chinaski!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimada is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chinaski.
Shimada lands a lovely overhand right.
Shimada swings for the body but Chinaski moves out of range.
Nice shot lands for Shimada.
Chinaski misses with a series of wild punches.
Shimada throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Shimada definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Shimada lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chinaski looks to land a left hand but Shimada moved out of range nicely.
Shimada drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chinaski sprawls and moves away.
Shimada ducks under a wild hook from Chinaski.
Chinaski wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shimada connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chinaski moves out of range of the strikes.
Shimada misses the shot to the body.
Shimada throws a combination that misses
and Chinaski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Misao Shimada has been cut.
Shimada misses with a hook. Chinaski ducked under it nicely.
Shimada throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Chinaski counter with a right hand.
Shimada takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chinaski's coach down at PhoQus Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chinaski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

and Chinaski counters with a crisp one two that drops Shimada! Chinaski thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Shimada to his feet! Shimada is in big trouble!

Shimada is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
BAM! Chinaski delivers a spinning backfist that drops Shimada like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
