Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 24554 p4p, 24332 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 33 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Amiga has managed to clinch.
Amiga is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Salvacion pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Amiga is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Amiga lands a takedown into guard.
Salvacion looking to hit a scissor sweep but Amiga is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion is striking but Amiga is not phased and passes to half guard.

Salvacion controlling the position well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amiga looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Salvacion looking to score a takedown here. Amiga is defending well but Salvacion drives through and ends up in Amiga's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amiga is controlling Salvacion's posture.
Salvacion controlling from the top position.
Amiga tries to strike from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amiga is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Salvacion wants to pass the guard but Amiga is keeping the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gakus Amiga dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Salvacion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amiga sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvacion somewhat.
Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it.

Salvacion closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Amiga's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Amiga striking off his back but it's not causing Salvacion any problems.
Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Salvacion gets to his feet - Amiga follows without any prompting.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Crunch! Amiga slams his shin into Salvacion's torso.
Amiga closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Amiga bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Salvacion is not content to let Amiga control the position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Amiga just content to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amiga fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Salvacion struggling a bit here.
Amiga trying to control the position but Salvacion is working away.
Amiga remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salvacion wants to control but Amiga postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Amiga pinned against the cage. Amiga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Richard John Salvacion will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Salvacion shoots in but no luck this time.

Amiga scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Salvacion has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Amiga has passed into side control.

Amiga wants to control but Salvacion is keeping him busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion shoots for a takedown but Amiga saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Salvacion fails with the takedown
and Amiga makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Salvacion really felt that one!
Salvacion goes for a double leg but Amiga avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Amiga continues to drive forward.

Amiga darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga is controlling the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gakus Amiga showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
