Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ray Forest (ranked 4414 p4p, 5012 weight class) and Karlo Kasap (ranked 0 p4p, 261 weight class). Forest comes to the cage accompanied by halo theme. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ray Forest!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Karlo Kasap!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasap misses with a takedown attempt - Forest sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Forest instigates a clinch.

Forest is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.


Kasap closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Forest did well to prevent Kasap getting side control.

Forest has one foot on Kasap's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kasap stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Forest.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Forest could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kasap or perhaps it was just good defense by Forest, which made it look bad.

Let's hope that Kasap has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kasap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Forest. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Forest enables Kasap to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Forest manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

This has been an exciting period of action!

As Kasap looks to move away, Forest throws a big counter combo but Kasap just gets out of the way.

Ray Forest is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Forest has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
