Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Krenlich Petrovich (ranked 6238 p4p, 4399 weight class) and Carter Lepp (ranked 0 p4p, 518 weight class). Lepp is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Location . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lepp tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrovich paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lepp wants to get back to striking at distance but Petrovich won't allow it.

Lepp lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Petrovich circles away quickly and effectively.
Lepp tries to score a power double leg takedown but Petrovich sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lepp somewhat.

Petrovich throws a hook to the side of Lepp's head but Lepp sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Lepp counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lepp.

Petrovich breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lepp closes the distance but Petrovich moves to the side
and Petrovich makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Petrovich forces Lepp back against the cage and clinches.

Petrovich's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lepp tries to keep at a distance but Petrovich has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lepp jumps guard but Petrovich stands there with Lepp around his waist. Lepp gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Lepp ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lepp no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Petrovich wants to control from the top but Lepp keeps moving.
Petrovich wants to pass the guard but Lepp is keeping the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lepp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Horrible takedown attempt by Petrovich or perhaps it was just good defense by Lepp, which made it look bad.

Lepp throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Petrovich because Lepp loaded up on that one.

Petrovich is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lepp is just riding it out for now. Petrovich eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lepp pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lepp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Petrovich.

A left lands for Petrovich.

Petrovich is pressed up against the cage. Lepp has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Petrovich down to the mat. Petrovich avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lepp comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Petrovich lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Krenlich Petrovich.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Petrovich, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
