And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Rodri Yairguez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Yairguez fails with a takedown attempt. Van De Leide fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Van De Leide rushes Yairguez and presses him up against the cage. Van De Leide pulls guard successfully.
Yairguez trying to control but Van De Leide is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van De Leide wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Van De Leide escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yairguez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yairguez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Van De Leide manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yairguez has Van De Leide in his guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Van De Leide slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Van De Leide won't allow Yairguez to sweep him here. Van De Leide trying to control the position from guard on top but Yairguez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yairguez keeping full guard, as Van De Leide tries to pass. Van De Leide will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Yairguez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Yairguez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Van De Leide can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van De Leide wants to control from the top but Yairguez keeps moving. Van De Leide has gone for a leg lock! Van De Leide has his foot on Yairguez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yairguez works his way back into a safe position though.

Van De Leide is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yairguez defends well. Yairguez drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Yairguez as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Van De Leide screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Yairguez! Nice submission victory there!
