Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jayilton Almeda (ranked 4811 p4p, 4908 weight class) and Ryk Anders (ranked 222 p4p, 207 weight class). Almeda comes to the ring accompanied by This Fire - Franz Ferdinand. Anders is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sweet home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd. The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anders throws a wild body kick that Almeda sees coming a mile off.
Almeda darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Ryk Anders has been cut.
Anders misses with a few strikes there.
Good standup being displayed there by Almeda as he connects with a hook.
Almeda thows a left - swing and a miss!
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Anders! But no joy.
Anders misses with a combination
and Almeda counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Anders is rocked!
Almeda cracks Anders with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jayilton Almeda!
A relieved looking Jayilton Almeda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Ryk Anders had this to say: 'I'm a competitor, and I know a lot of people say that, but I'm not going to give in or be intimidated by anybody!'.
