Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ntokozo Mpungose (ranked 25460 p4p, 3260 weight class) and Mister Eko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ntokozo Mpungose has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eko darts in looking for a takedown but Mpungose gets double underhooks and turns Eko into the cage.

Mpungose moves into the clinch successfully.
Eko is trying to drag Mpungose to the mat but Mpungose just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Eko has Mpungose pressed against the cage, preventing Mpungose from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Eko is trying to pull guard but Mpungose turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ntokozo Mpungose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mister Eko.
Eko tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mpungose smiles and moves away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eko can do anything to dispel that myth.
Eko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eko distracts Mpungose with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mpungose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Eko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Eko is looking to take a break and control but Mpungose is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mpungose tries to bench press Eko off him but Eko keeps the position.
Eko remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mpungose is looking to reverse the position.

Mpungose takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oh Mpungose is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The crowd goes nuts as Eko knocks Mpungose out cold with a massive hammerfist! Eko Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
