Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 30 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nariyuki Yuiga!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuiga fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Buktot, pushing him back against the cage.
Yuiga lands a shoulder strike.
Buktot's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Buktot on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Yuiga lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Buktot or not.
Yuiga gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Buktot.
Buktot is looking to take this one to the mat.
Still in the clinch, Yuiga scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yuiga scores with a shoulder strike.
Yuiga lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Buktot is rocked!
Yuiga lands a knee to the body.
Oh Buktot is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yuiga scores with a nice hook to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yuiga lands a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Yuiga unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Buktot! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Yuiga is unloading with more strikes now! Buktot drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nariyuki Yuiga!
