Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 24489 p4p, 24477 weight class) and Minatay Mibangon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Minatay Mibangon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 34 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 30 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bitok fails with the takedown. Mibangon flicks out a counter leg kick but Bitok steps away. Mibangon shoots in but no luck this time. Mibangon gets caught flat footed, as Bitok shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mibangon holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bitok seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mibangon controls Bitok momentarily but Bitok frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bitok missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bitok shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mibangon pinned against the cage. Mibangon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mibangon is trying to counter with his kicks. Mibangon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bitok is trying to defend but Mibangon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok is refusing to be controlled, as Mibangon sits in half guard. Bitok is controlling Mibangon's trapped leg to prevent Mibangon from advancing to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mibangon content to control rather than advance. Bitok wants to get back to full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok trying to control here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kulata Bitok will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Bitok closes the distance and clinches up with Mibangon, looking for a takedown. Bitok pushes Mibangon against the cage but Mibangon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bitok. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bitok. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kulata Bitok. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok leaves Mibangon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And Bitok counters with a quick kick to the body but Mibangon blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Mibangon is looking for the big counter here. Mibangon misses with a takedown and Bitok counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mibangon! Bitok controlling the position. Mibangon is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Mibangon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok in side control, just content to control the action for now. You can see the frustration on Mibangon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bitok fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Mibangon stuffs the takedown. Mibangon follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Bitok is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mibangon can do to turn this around? Mibangon shoots in for a double leg but Bitok sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. And Bitok counters with a quick kick to the body but Mibangon blocks it. Mibangon drives through with a takedown into Bitok's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kulata Bitok dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Mibangon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bitok dives in for a single leg takedown but Mibangon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bitok has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mibangon regains guard immediately. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok trying to control but Mibangon is working from the bottom. Mibangon tries to strike from the bottom.
Bitok is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Mibangon pulls Bitok in close to his closed guard and prevents Bitok from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bitok sprawls well. Bitok wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet. Bitok jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok leaves Mibangon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's going to take a lot out of Minatay Mibangon. Bitok slaps away a takedown attempt from Mibangon, before circling back to the center of the mat. A counter left hand to the body from Bitok misses its target.

And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bitok, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
