Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Masterson (ranked 1988 p4p, 3149 weight class) and Dan Kim (ranked 174 p4p, 258 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Masterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Kim!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masterson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Masterson showed some decent athleticism there.
Masterson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kim doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Masterson.
Kim wants to control but Masterson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Masterson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Masterson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kim knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Masterson swings around for an armbar but Kim sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Masterson's guard.
Masterson wants to hit a sweep here but Kim passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Masterson there!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kim throws a hook to the side of Masterson's head but Masterson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Masterson goes for a double leg but Kim avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kim continues to drive forward.
Kim lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Kim lands a left hand that snaps the head of Masterson backwards.
Kim breaks the clinch.
Kim throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kim lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kim feints a jab promting Masterson to slip. Kim then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Masterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Masterson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kim is trying to defend but Masterson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Masterson maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kim could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Masterson has cracked it and Kim is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Masterson!
