Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Macheda!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macheda throws a shot to the body.
Viana shoots for a double leg takedown but Macheda sprawls well. He's pushed Viana's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Viana could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Viana tries for a takedown but Macheda sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for Viana with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Viana. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Macheda fails in his attempt to clinch.
Macheda is looking to clinch.
Macheda closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Macheda is trying to trip Viana. He has hold of a leg but Viana is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Macheda persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Macheda is looking to stand up but Viana won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macheda must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Viana looking for a guillotine here but Macheda defends easily.
Viana is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Macheda trying to stand up but can't free himself from Viana's guard.

Viana throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Macheda wants to stand but Viana is controlling his posture from full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Viana lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Macheda!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Viana tries to control but Macheda wriggling away.
Viana fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Macheda is bucking up trying to escape but Viana cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Macheda is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Viana can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Macheda is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Macheda tries to buck Viana off so he can stand up but Viana has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Macheda falls backwards, slamming Viana to the mat but Viana holds on tight! Macheda is forced to tap and this one is all over!
