Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reino Ruttu (ranked 1780 p4p, 2292 weight class) and Zima Voin (ranked 268 p4p, 331 weight class). Reino Ruttu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reino Ruttu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Zima Voin! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voin connects with a body shot. Voin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ruttu defends it nicely. A jab from Voin misses. It looked like Ruttu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Ruttu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Zima Voin has been cut. Ruttu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Voin closes the distance and clinches. Ruttu lands with a left to the head. Ruttu lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ruttu's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Voin working hard to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Voin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Voin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ruttu after a bit of a struggle. Ruttu gets through Voin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Voin misses with a hook from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruttu misses with a punch to the body.
Ruttu misses with a short punch on the inside. Ruttu lands an uppercut. Ruttu lands a shoulder strike. Ruttu is leaning against Voin and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Voin is looking for a takedown. Reino Ruttu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zima Voin. Come on Ruttu - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Ruttu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A low kick lands for Ruttu.
Voin misses with an uppercut
and Ruttu counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ruttu blocks a jab. Ruttu is looking to counter with a body kick. Voin just misses with a punch to the body.
Voin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ruttu is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ruttu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Voin scrambles back to his feet. Ruttu keeps the fight on the outside. A little feinted left hand from Ruttu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Voin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ruttu makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Voin misses with a left hand and Ruttu counters with a big right hand! Oh Voin is in trouble here! Ruttu follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reino Ruttu! A relieved looking Reino Ruttu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
