Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Melanie Carmichael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melanie Carmichael! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Fury! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carmichael tries for a takedown but Fury sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Fury as Carmichael shoots in. Fury closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carmichael circles away. Fury shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carmichael's guard. Carmichael keeping full guard, as Fury tries to pass. Fury trying to control the position from guard on top but Carmichael is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fury stands up and waves to Carmichael to follow him. Fury takes a kick to the side of the head. Fury misses with a takedown and Carmichael counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fury is lucky that one didn't land flush.

That's one minute gone in the round. Carmichael fails with the takedown so Fury counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melanie Carmichael. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fury preventing the sweep. Fury seems to have recovered his senses. Fury stands up and waves to Carmichael to follow him. The fight stays on the outside here - Carmichael looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carmichael lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Carmichael wants to clinch and Fury counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fury stands and throws Carmichael's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Fury tries for a takedown but Carmichael circles away easily and Carmichael counters with a nice double leg into guard. Fury looks gassed! Fury looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carmichael is one step ahead there. Fury trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carmichael wanted to stand there but Fury had control of the position. Carmichael wants to control from the top but Fury keeps moving. Carmichael has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fury working for a triangle but Carmichael defends it easily.
Fury tries to land a sweep but no joy. Carmichael is looking to stand up but Fury won't let him.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carmichael tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fury counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carmichael is staying active underneath Fury, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Carmichael pushes Fury off looking to stand but Fury dives back in and keeps control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carmichael tries to improve position but can't. Fury stands up and beckons Carmichael to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Carmichael fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melanie Carmichael. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fury looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carmichael throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Lee Fury showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Carmichael's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

You can see the frustration on Carmichael's face as Fury controls the position. Fury decides to take the fight back to the feet. Fury avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carmichael wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fury with a lazy takedown attempt and Carmichael counters with a big head kick but Fury shrugs it off.
