The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Valkoinen pinned against the cage. Valkoinen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Valkoinen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silva shoots in and drives through. Valkoinen sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Valkoinen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Valkoinen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Valkoinen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Silva cranks the arm and Valkoinen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Valkoinen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
