Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between deano reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Berto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
reeves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Berto as he jumps to the side.
Berto feints and as reeves raises his hands in defense, Berto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
reeves keeping moving, preventing Berto from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
reeves keeping full guard, as Berto tries to pass.
Berto postures up.
reeves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Berto.
Berto throws and elbow that misses. reeves uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Berto's guard. Nice move by reeves!

reeves tries to free his leg and advance position but Berto is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Berto lands with a slapping head kick.

reeves fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Berto, pushing him back against the cage.

reeves wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
reeves turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
reeves is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Berto's shoulder. That is not cool.
Berto is looking to regain half guard here but reeves keeps moving and retains side control.

reeves throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Berto because reeves loaded up on that one.

Berto tries to lock up and control but reeves gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Berto rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Berto tries to regain full guard. Instead though, reeves has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
reeves get's back to his feet.

and Berto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

reeves is bucking up trying to escape but Berto cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Berto can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as reeves is looking to escape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Berto goes for an armbar but he's not got it… reeves turns into him and now he's in Berto's guard.
Berto wants to sweep here but reeves controlling him for the moment.

reeves decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Berto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Berto working the strikes but reeves uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Berto misses with a head shot. reeves uses the momentum to regain guard.
Berto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
reeves trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Berto wants to control from the top but reeves keeps moving.

Berto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Berto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but reeves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
reeves shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Berto counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. reeves is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Berto tries to clinch but reeves is having none of it.

Berto throws a good cross that connects.

Berto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. reeves tries to avoid it but Berto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag reeves to the ground. reeves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Berto stalks reeves and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into reeves's face. reeves staggers backwards, shaken.

Berto wants to stand but his hand is trapped. reeves uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
reeves pushes Berto off and gets back to his feet.
