Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maurits Assndrop (ranked 20 p4p, 56 weight class) and DaMatti Matikainen (ranked 4 p4p, 12 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - Assndrop looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Assndrop tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Matikainen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Maurits Assndrop will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Assndrop walks straight into a right hand from Matikainen - that's dropped him! Matikainen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Assndrop from any more punishment! Assndrop complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
