Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Callum Ingham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel DC! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ingham scores with a jab to the jaw. Ingham circles away from the clinch attempt and Ingham counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Ingham circles away from the clinch attempt and Ingham counters with a nice uppercut. Ingham jabs DC to the body, keeping him at a distance. DC tries for a takedown but Ingham circles away easily and Ingham counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DC takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. DC closes the distance but Ingham moves to the side and Ingham counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ingham ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. DC takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. DC tries to move into range but Ingham moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. DC shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ingham's guard. DC looks winded! DC stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ingham swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ingham will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. DC trying to control the position from guard on top but Ingham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DC stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ingham swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ingham seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. DC rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Ingham to counter with a crisp jab. DC shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ingham with a hook. Ingham is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ingham lands with a cross. Ingham darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ingham slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Ingham drops DC with a naaaaasty hook - DC is in real trouble here! Ingham dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
