Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akamaru Jackson (ranked 964 p4p, 1417 weight class) and Apollo Creed (ranked 120 p4p, 171 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Apollo Creed was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akamaru Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Apollo Creed ! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Creed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Creed is trying to escape the position but Jackson is controlling the position. Creed is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jackson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jackson just content to control the position. Jackson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Creed managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jackson.
Jackson controls the position from side control. Creed dodges the ground and pound from Jackson. Jackson working the ground and pound but Creed is defending the strikes. Jackson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Jackson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Creed is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Jackson tries to score with some ground and pound. Creed controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Jackson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Jackson is staying tight to Creed 's torso, preventing him from escaping. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Creed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson wants to control but Creed is keeping him busy. Is there anything that Creed can do to turn this around? Akamaru Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jackson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Creed defends well and Jackson ends up having to push Creed into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Creed lands a nice uppercut. Creed softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Creed struggles to land a body shot inside as Jackson controls his hands.
Still in the clinch, Creed scores with a nice short uppercut. Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Creed avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Creed lands a body shot. Creed is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jackson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Creed to the mat. Creed regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Jackson won't allow Creed to get back to his feet. Jackson is stalling in the full guard. Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Creed utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jackson throws a big elbow that misses. Jackson wants to control from the top but Creed keeps moving. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jackson lands a couple of digs. Jackson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jackson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jackson shoots and misses and Creed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That was a close second round but I would say that Akamaru Jackson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Jackson defending well as Creed loads up on a big left hand. Creed lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

And that's the end of the fight! Akamaru Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
