The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lama showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Philips.
Lama changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Philips ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Philips moves out of range of the strikes.
A head kick misses from Lama.
Philips takes one to the side of the head.
Philips lands with a kick to the temple. Lama shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Donk. Philips catches Lama right on the button with a cross.
Lama shoots and misses
and Philips counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Philips enables Lama to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Philips manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lama won't allow Philips to get back to his feet.

Philips kicks Lama off and gets to his feet.
Philips ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lama moves away.
Philips throws a low kick but Lama avoids it.

Philips swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Philips throws a quick inside leg kick.
Lama gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Philips counters with an inside leg kick.
Lama closes the distance and clinches up with Philips, looking for a takedown. Lama pushes Philips against the cage but Philips circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Balal Lama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Philips is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Oh Lama is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Philips wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Philips lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Philips unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Philips putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lama in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Lama takes a knee to the side of the body.
Lama seems to have got his legs back now.
Philips lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Radio Philips dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Balal Lama's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lama tries for a takedown but Philips circles away easily
and as Lama loses concentration momentarily, Philips counters with a picture perfect head kick! Lama goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Radio Philips!
Radio Philips decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
