Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Garces!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Adams!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Adams showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Adams lands a nice short elbow.
Garces trying to control but Adams postures up.
Garces avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Adams.
Garces preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Garces moves into full guard.
Adams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Adams working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Garces pushes Adams off and scrambles back to his feet.
Garces scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Adams shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Garces is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Adams's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Adams's back!
Garces has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Adams's body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garces working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Adams is doing well to defend. Garces seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Adams is forced to tap and this one is over!
