Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Benson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Nagiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benson misses with a double jab.
Benson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Nagiev throws a head kick that half lands.
Benson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Benson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Benson moves in looking to clinch but Nagiev pushes him off.
Nagiev wants to clinch up but Benson keeps it at a distance.
Benson shoots for a takedown but Nagiev saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Benson is breathing heavily.
Nagiev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nagiev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Benson looks to land a combination but Nagiev avoids it well.

Benson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nagiev swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No joy there for Benson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nagiev tries to clinch up but Benson circles away and keeps his distance.
Benson misses with a series of wild punches.
Benson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Benson duly obliges.
A head kick lands from Nagiev that sends Benson to the canvas. Benson tries to scramble back to his feet but Nagiev brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Andrew Benson has been cut.
Benson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nagiev asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Nagiev decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nagiev moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Benson keeps the fight on the outside.
Nagiev dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Benson. That did some damage!
Nagiev is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nagiev! Benson is out on his feet! Nagiev rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Benson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Benson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
