The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards throws a sloppy head kick and Kadyrov moves out of range easily.
Kadyrov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Edwards shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kadyrov defends it nicely.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kadyrov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Edwards gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
