PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 24156 p4p, 24160 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to avoid it but Amiga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salvacion to the ground. Salvacion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl out of it but Salvacion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Amiga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Amiga drops down looking for a counter takedown but Salvacion sprawls and moves away.

Amiga looks for the body kick but Salvacion saw that one coming.

Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well.
Amiga closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Amiga throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Amiga is in Salvacion's guard.

Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown but Amiga manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Salvacion's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Salvacion changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Amiga fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kugus Amiga will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Salvacion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Amiga is fending him off so far but Salvacion persists. Nope, Amiga circles away and we're back to standing.
Salvacion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salvacion wants it to stay on the feet.

Amiga tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Salvacion defends well and Amiga ends up having to push Salvacion into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Salvacion really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Amiga.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clifford Val Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Amiga has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
