Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Wild!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama misses with a takedown

and Wild moves into the clinch.

Kazama manages to break the clinch.
Kazama is looking to clinch.
Kazama fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wild tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Wild displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kazama.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Kazama. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kazama.
Kazama shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wild defends it nicely.

Wild shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kazama napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wild is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kazama has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wild wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kazama keeps working.
Wild creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Wild lands a few punches from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wild is looking to take a break and control but Kazama is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kazama wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Wild has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Kazama's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Kazama is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Wild!
