Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duke Drosey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Drosey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Trash. Duke Drosey could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Fernando Torres's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drosey dodges the punch combination from Torres.

Torres tries to close the distance and clinch but Drosey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Torres tries to clinch there but Drosey circles away.

"I don't think so" says Torres as he avoids it easily. Fernando Torres is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No joy there for Torres, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Torres looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Drosey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Torres sees it coming and avoids it easily. Torres looks to land a combination but Drosey avoids it well. Drosey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Torres doesn't seem bothered though. Torres misses with a low kick.

Torres throws a head kick that misses. Drosey shoots for a double leg takedown but Torres sprawls well. He's pushed Drosey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Drosey connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Drosey lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Torres sprawling to the canvas. Drosey follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Torres hang on?
It looks like Fernando Torres has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drosey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Torres's head. Drosey performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drosey decides to stand and escape the position. Torres is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drosey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Torres really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drosey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Drosey in particular looking to stall. Drosey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Drosey stops Torres from getting back to his feet.

He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Torres has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Drosey finds it's way round the side to connect with Torres's head. Drosey connects with a good right hand that stumbles Torres. Torres circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Drosey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Torres was covering up waiting for the punch and Drosey finishes the takedown easily into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drosey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Drosey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Drosey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Drosey scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Torres staggers backwards, shaken. Torres takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A head kick misses from Drosey. Drosey shoots in for a takedown but Torres shows good takedown defense. Drosey lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Drosey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Torres swats him away and circles back towards the center. Torres throws a series of punches but Drosey moves out of range. Drosey is looking to clinch but Torres is avoiding it.

Drosey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Torres can do to turn this around? Drosey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A cross from Drosey lands. Drosey swats away the attempt to clinch by Torres. Torres has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Drosey tries to clinch but Torres is having none of it. Drosey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Torres tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Drosey, as that shot connected.
Drosey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Drosey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! Duke Drosey showed his dominance in that final round. I think Drosey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
