Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ace Mikkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Growden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikkey's entrance music is The Trooper. A fine choice. Mikkey has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Growden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mikkey looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mikkey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Growden drives through and clinches with Mikkey against the cage.
Growden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Growden should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Growden has eaten all the pies!
Growden wants to control from the top but Mikkey keeps moving.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Growden wants to stand but Mikkey is controlling his posture from full guard.
Mikkey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mikkey has a closed guard, preventing Growden from standing up.
Growden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mikkey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Growden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Growden lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mikkey backs up against the cage.

Mikkey looking to throw knees to the head but Growden is blocking nicely.

Growden wants the takedown. Mikkey is fighting it off but Growden persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mikkey's guard against the cage.

Mikkey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Growden is controlling him.
Growden is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mikkey had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Growden is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mikkey Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Growden's back instead.
Growden rolls, trying to escape but Mikkey keeps control of the position.

I really don't envy Growden right now.
