Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Toshiro Hitsugaya (ranked 1096 p4p, 1492 weight class) and Willie Dixon (ranked 72 p4p, 96 weight class). Willie Dixon has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Toshiro Hitsugaya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Willie Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hitsugaya darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hitsugaya lands a jab.
Hitsugaya lands a lovely overhand right.
Toshiro Hitsugaya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hitsugaya takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hitsugaya looks to land a combination but Dixon avoids it well.
Dixon on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dixon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dixon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hitsugaya scores with a crisp jab that stopped Dixon in his tracks.
Hitsugaya seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
No joy there for Hitsugaya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dixon takes one to the chin there.
Hitsugaya uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dixon has time to react.
Dixon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hitsugaya to score with a decent uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dixon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hitsugaya throws a left and a right that both miss

and Dixon counters with a single leg into guard. Hitsugaya didn't expect that.
Hitsugaya is adopting a defensive guard.
Dixon is pushing down on Hitsugaya's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hitsugaya is fighting to maintain full guard but Dixon has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dixon trying to control the action but Hitsugaya is working from the bottom.
Dixon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Dixon uses his free foot to push down on Hitsugaya's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hitsugaya.
Hitsugaya wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dixon working for a submission but Hitsugaya is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hitsugaya is squirming around, avoiding Dixon's attempts to control the action.
Hitsugaya knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dixon on the ground.
Hitsugaya keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hitsugaya is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Dixon has taken his back.

Dixon is working for a rear naked choke. Hitsugaya is not defending it well and Dixon has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hitsugaya refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hitsugaya's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Willie Dixon!
