Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shunsui Kyoraku (ranked 1986 p4p, 2764 weight class) and Author Fonzarelli (ranked 263 p4p, 351 weight class). The key to victory for Shunsui Kyoraku has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyoraku lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Fonzarelli closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kyoraku circles away.

Shunsui Kyoraku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Author Fonzarelli.
Fonzarelli takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kyoraku fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fonzarelli on the side of the head.
Fonzarelli's coach down at Elite Island Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fonzarelli's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fonzarelli shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kyoraku as he jumps to the side.
Kyoraku appears to be looking for a big counter.
Kyoraku swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fonzarelli.
Kyoraku scores with a nice head shot.
The crowd cheers as Kyoraku lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fonzarelli doesn't seem phased though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fonzarelli with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kyoraku to score with a decent uppercut.
Fonzarelli shoots in for a takedown but Kyoraku shows good takedown defense.
Kyoraku lands a brutal uppercut that launches Fonzarelli off his feet! Fonzarelli tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
