Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liam Walker (ranked 4574 p4p, 23884 weight class) and Maxi Hernandez (ranked 513 p4p, 640 weight class). Hernandez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Machete kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Liam Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Maxi Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hernandez sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hernandez follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Hernandez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Walker's sensitive parts. A big right from Walker misses. It seemed like Hernandez was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Walker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Walker misses the jab. Walker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hernandez doesn't seem bothered though. Walker's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hernandez under the eye. Hernandez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A nice side step and Hernandez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Hernandez cracks Walker with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Walker lands a really nice looking cross but Hernandez seems unphased.
Walker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hernandez on the side of the head. Walker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. This has been an exciting period of action! Walker misses with an uppercut
and Hernandez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Walker throws a leg kick but Hernandez sees it coming and moves out of range. Walker throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hernandez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hernandez misses with a straight left. Walker needs to keep his hands up - Hernandez had a free shot at his head there.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Walker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hernandez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Hernandez works the jab nicely. Walker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hernandez sees it coming and avoids it easily. Walker misses with an uppercut
and Walker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A telegraphed right hand from Walker misses the target. Hernandez avoids the body shot from Walker.
Walker connects with a single shot there. Walker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Hernandez misses with a body kick. Walker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hernandez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Walker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hernandez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hernandez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hernandez there as he acknowledges the shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hernandez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Walker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hernandez manages to avoid it. Hernandez was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Walker lands a nice hook to Hernandez's body. Hernandez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Walker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hernandez. Walker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Hernandez slips a straight right by Walker. Hernandez avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Hernandez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Walker. Walker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Walker throws a hook but Hernandez blocks it. A solid leg kick lands there for Walker.
Hernandez throws a low kick but Walker moves out of range easily. Maxi Hernandez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hernandez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Walkers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
 Walker is rocked! Hernandez drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Walker's head, knocking him out cold! Hernandez is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Maxi Hernandez! Maxi Hernandez tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
