Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zack Galasky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hendrik Jan Schottink!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schottink fails with the takedown.

Galasky shoots in and bounces Schottink off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Galasky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schottink swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Galasky content to stall in guard here.
Schottink is pulling down on Galasky's head. It's preventing any offense from Galasky, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schottink has his foot on Galasky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Galasky works his way back into a safe position though.

Schottink controls Galasky momentarily but Galasky frees himself.
Schottink looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Galasky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Galasky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galasky would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Galasky looking to score a takedown here. Schottink is defending well but Galasky drives through and ends up in Schottink's guard.

Schottink can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Galasky controls the pace.
Galasky throwing strikes but missing.
Schottink bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Galasky's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schottink trying to control but Galasky is working from the bottom.
Schottink might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Galasky haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Galasky is pulling down on Schottink's head to control his posture.
Galasky looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Schottink puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Galasky is staying active underneath Schottink, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Galasky tries to kick Schottink off but Schottink keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Galasky won't allow Schottink to pass to mount.
Schottink looks winded!
Galasky makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Galasky.
Galasky is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Galasky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Schottink manages to get himself to full guard.

Galasky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Schottink looking for a guillotine here but Galasky defends easily.
Galasky passes Schottink's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Galasky is controlling the pace.
Galasky frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Zack Galasky dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Schottink gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Galasky to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Schottink is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Galasky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Galasky controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Schottink fails with the takedown.
Schottink is breathing heavily.

Schottink shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Galasky's guard.

Galasky trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Galasky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Galasky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Schottink manages to get himself to full guard.

Zack Galasky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Schottink escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Galasky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Galasky slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Galasky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schottink can do to turn this around?

Galasky wants to stand but Schottink has his arm trapped.
Schottink is trying to escape the position but Galasky is controlling the position.

Schottink wants to control but Galasky postures up.

Galasky tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Galasky has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Galasky has an Americana. Schottink didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Galasky is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Galasky hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
