Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chief Claw (ranked 2419 p4p, 22651 weight class) and Peter Golles (ranked 298 p4p, 527 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Claw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Claw showed some decent athleticism there.

Golles kicks Claw off and gets back to his feet.

Claw changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Golles looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Claw tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Claw has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Golles is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Claw is controlling him well.

Claw thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Claw decides to stand back up.
Golles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Golles throws a lazy right hand but Claw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Golles tries to clinch there but Claw circles away.

Claw darts in and clinches Golles up against the cage.

Claw lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Claw prevents Golles from standing back up.

Claw is working for a kimura but Golles is defending it quite comfortably.
Golles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Claw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Claw in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Golles tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Claw!
