PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Dewire (ranked 3302 p4p, 2246 weight class) and Willy McCoy (ranked 414 p4p, 293 weight class). Dewire comes to the cage accompanied by Come With Me Now. The crowd seem to be enjoying McCoy's choice of entrance music: You Don't Mess Around With Jim. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
McCoy cracks Dewire with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Michael Dewire has been cut.
McCoy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McCoy scores with a jab to the body.

McCoy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dewire looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McCoy is nestled in close to Dewire, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Dewire tries to roll over but McCoy keeps him under control.
McCoy wants to take a breather but Dewire is having none of it.
McCoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dewire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been hearing that Dewire has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
