Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Stijn Vleghels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Head!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vleghels closes the distance and clinches up with Head, looking for a takedown. Vleghels pushes Head against the cage but Head circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Head looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Vleghels takes the fight into the clinch.
Vleghels goes for a takedown attempt but Head pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Head closes the distance and clinches.
Head is pressed up against the cage. Vleghels has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Head down to the mat. Head avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stijn Vleghels. That's going to take a lot out of him.
