Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hung Wei Lo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Johns!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johns shoots in looking for a takedown but Lo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johns's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Johns misses with a jab, cross combination.
Johns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johns somewhat.
Tim Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johns tries for a takedown but Lo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hung Wei Lo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Johns.

Johns forces Lo back against the cage and clinches.
Johns prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johns uses from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lo seems keen to control Johns's posture.
Lo is trying to control the position but Johns postures up.

Johns must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lo wants to control the position but Johns says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lo regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lo keeping moving, preventing Johns from controlling successfully.
Lo controls Johns momentarily but Johns frees himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Lo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lo is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Johns has his hands clasped together but Lo extends and breaks Johns's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lo.
