This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 28 wins and 23 losses; Chan Siam! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 64 wins and 44 losses; Rolf Ottke!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Ottke fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Siam shoots in for a takedown but Ottke shows good takedown defense.

Siam drives through and clinches with Ottke against the cage.
Ottke is trying to drag Siam to the mat but Siam just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ottke tries to score a body lock takedown but Siam shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chan Siam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rolf Ottke.

Siam manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ottke manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ottke has control of Siam's left arm, preventing Siam from doing any damage.
Siam wants to control from the top but Ottke keeps moving.

Ottke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Siam stays in close to Ottke's body and controls the position.
Ottke is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Ottke controls Siam momentarily but Siam frees himself.
