Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Thompson (ranked 3149 p4p, 3291 weight class) and Rodrigo Duterte (ranked 378 p4p, 392 weight class). Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by Redneck Summer - Ben Hudson. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Duterte tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thompson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Duterte misses with an uppercut. Thompson saw that one coming.
Duterte tries to clinch but Thompson is having none of it.

Duterte felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Thompson lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Duterte! Thompson sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Duterte and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
