The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Pappalardi as Semenov shoots in.
Pappalardi lands a body shot.
Semenov misses with a takedown attempt
and Pappalardi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Pappalardi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Semenov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pappalardi defends well and Semenov ends up having to push Pappalardi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kirill Semenov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Semenov tries for a takedown. No joy.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Pappalardi.
Pappalardi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Pappalardi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Semenov has his takedown stuffed
and Pappalardi counters with a nice right hand that sends Semenov toppling to the canvas! Semenov scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Pappalardi finish him?!

It looks like Kirill Semenov has been cut.
Semenov is breathing heavily.

Pappalardi lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Semenov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Pappalardi dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Felix Pappalardi!
