Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Forrester Jr (ranked 1948 p4p, 1513 weight class) and Leonard Read (ranked 306 p4p, 232 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thomas Forrester Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leonard Read!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forrester Jr swats away the attempt to clinch by Read.

Read shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Forrester Jr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Read won't allow Forrester Jr to get back to his feet.
Read trying to move into half guard but instead Forrester Jr has managed to sweep!

Read tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Forrester Jr trying to control but Read is working from the bottom.

Read working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Forrester Jr has passed into half guard!
Forrester Jr wants to control but Read is keeping him busy.
Forrester Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Read on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Read escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Forrester Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Forrester Jr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Forrester Jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Read is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Forrester Jr defends well.

Forrester Jr is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Read working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Forrester Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Forrester Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Forrester Jr is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Read has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Leonard Read will probably get the nod.

Read takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Leonard Read has been cut.
Forrester Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Read moves away from the strike by Forrester Jr.
Read doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Forrester Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Read tries to score a power double leg takedown but Forrester Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Read somewhat.
A jab from Forrester Jr finds it's way through Read's defenses.

Thomas Forrester Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Read.

Forrester Jr looks to land a left hand but Read moved out of range nicely.

Forrester Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Read shoots in but no luck this time.
Read misses with a takedown attempt - Forrester Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Forrester Jr darts in and clinches Read up against the cage.
Read drops down looking for an ankle pick but Forrester Jr pulls his leg out and moves away.
Read fails with the takedown
and Forrester Jr counters with a nice body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Read is defended easily by Forrester Jr.
Read has his takedown stuffed
and Forrester Jr counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Read has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Thomas Forrester Jr!
An out of breath and clearly excited Thomas Forrester Jr thanked Island clothing lite for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
