Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nakagome Kakuzo (ranked 2824 p4p, 1833 weight class) and Rylan Wheeler (ranked 350 p4p, 236 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nakagome Kakuzo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rylan Wheeler! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kakuzo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wheeler only half commits to the counter leg kick. Wheeler slips under a jab. It seemed like Wheeler was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Wheeler misses with a few strikes there.
Kakuzo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wheeler sprawls well initially but Kakuzo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kakuzo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wheeler manages to get to full guard.
Kakuzo content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Wheeler has locked up a guillotine! Wheeler's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kakuzo is holding on here and Wheeler must be using up a lot of energy. Kakuzo has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Wheeler gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
