Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Wylde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzaga has chosen DMX as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Wylde! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Gonzaga! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzaga shoots for a double leg takedown but Wylde sprawls well. He's pushed Gonzaga's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wylde throws a head kick but Gonzaga moves out of range.
Wylde connects with a high kick. Gonzaga shoots for a takedown but Wylde saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gonzaga is looking to clinch but Wylde is avoiding it.
Gonzaga shoots in but no luck this time. Dan Wylde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Gonzaga. Wylde scores with a one two! Gonzaga had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Wylde scores with a head kick.
Wylde lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gonzaga will feel that in the morning. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wylde looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wylde trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzaga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wylde wants to pass the guard but Gonzaga is keeping the position. Wylde drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wylde jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wylde chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wylde wants to control from the top but Gonzaga keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wylde advances position into side control! Wylde has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Wylde shoots in and bounces Gonzaga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wylde trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gonzaga is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzaga throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gonzaga looks gassed! Wylde is refusing to be controlled, as Gonzaga sits in half guard. Wylde wants to improve his position but Gonzaga is controlling well.
Wylde is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gonzaga scores with a couple of nice shots. Gonzaga seems to be working for a kimura but Wylde defends the submission attempt. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wylde missing with punches from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wylde flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gonzaga tries to close the distance and clinch but Wylde swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wylde scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gonzaga doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wylde counters with a three punch combo that has Gonzaga backing up. Gonzaga nods at Wylde to acknowledge the strikes. Wylde throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Wylde gets the takedown into side control. Wylde cracks Gonzaga with a big elbow. Wylde looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gonzaga is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonzaga tries to escape but Wylde is in control. Wylde tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wylde has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wylde decides to stand back up. Gonzaga tries to clinch up and Wylde counters with a head kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gonzaga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wylde scores with a takedown into Gonzaga's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Wylde dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wylde explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Wylde shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wylde is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Gonzaga shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wylde counters with a flying knee. Nice. Wylde is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wylde is trying to reverse the position but instead Gonzaga has taken his back - oops! Gonzaga tries to keep control of the position but Wylde is staying busy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wylde tries to escape but Gonzaga has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Wylde knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzaga on the ground. Wylde trying to get back to his feet but Gonzaga is in full control for now. Gonzaga lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gonzaga wants to stand up but Wylde is controlling him.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Gonzaga ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Gonzaga tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Gonzaga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gonzaga blocks a head kick by Wylde.
Gonzaga fails with the takedown and Wylde counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wylde. Wylde drops back looking for a leg! Gonzaga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gonzaga manages to kick Wylde off! Wylde jumps back into Gonzaga's guard. Gonzaga not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wylde thows a big elbow that misses. Wylde is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wylde missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gonzaga uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gonzaga stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wylde. Wylde throws a lazy head kick and Gonzaga counters with a series of strikes. Wylde will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wylde scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Gonzaga with a lazy takedown attempt and Wylde counters with a nice uppercut. Dan Wylde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Gonzaga. Gonzaga lands with a cross. Wylde lands with a kick to the temple. Gonzaga shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Gonzaga doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wylde counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gonzaga won't be happy with that. Gonzaga tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wylde working the ground and pound. Wylde just content to control the position. Wylde is looking to take a break and control but Gonzaga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wylde throws a right and a left that both miss. Gonzaga tries to clinch but Wylde moves away and Wylde decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gonzaga's guard. Wylde has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gonzaga is working an open guard so Wylde takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gonzaga closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wylde circles away. Wylde gets a takedown into half guard. Wylde looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Wylde wants to stand but Gonzaga has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gonzaga regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wylde.

Wylde is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gonzaga can do to turn this around? Gonzaga pushes Wylde off but Wylde dives into side control.
Wylde is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gonzaga knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wylde is looking to take a break and control but Gonzaga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wylde gets caught flat footed, as Gonzaga shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gonzaga wants to control from the top but Wylde keeps moving. Gonzaga throws a big right hand that misses. Wylde is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wylde is looking for a triangle but Gonzaga pushes his legs off easily.
Luis Gonzaga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wylde preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Wylde showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wylde has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
