Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Mills (ranked 1677 p4p, 1929 weight class) and Mitsugu Takeishi (ranked 75 p4p, 111 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mills might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rock the Dragon. Dragonball Z. Takeishi has chosen Kabuki Gomen-Jyo as his entrance music. With a record of 36 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitsugu Takeishi! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mills is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Despite the aggression on Takeishi's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Mills lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A punch combination from Mills misses. Edward Mills seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mills moves into the clinch successfully.

Mills connects with a crisp jab. Takeishi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mills tries to keep at a distance but Takeishi has taken the fight into the clinch. Mills misses with a hook from the clinch. Mills throws a head punch that misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Edward Mills dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Mills scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Mills here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Takeishi swings wildly with an uppercut but Mills uses good head movement to avoid it. Mills lands a right hand. Mills blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Takeishi is working Mills over against the cage. Takeishi lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Mills to his knees! Takeishi keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
