Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregoire Aebersold (ranked 2032 p4p, 2159 weight class) and John Knox (ranked 314 p4p, 329 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gregoire Aebersold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Knox!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aebersold wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Knox ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Knox connects with a right hand. Aebersold shakes it off.
Knox drops Aebersold with a beautiful combination! Aebersold stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Knox is looking for the KO!
Aebersold is rocked!
It looks like Gregoire Aebersold has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Knox has cracked Aebersold with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Knox lands another huge swinging hook and Aebersold tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Aebersold, before Knox can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Knox!
After the fight, John Knox was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
