The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arson throws a combination that misses

and Doncic counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Arson can't keep his opponent in guard - Doncic advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Arson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doncic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Arson has hold of Doncic's hands but Doncic slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Doncic is looking to take a break and control but Arson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Elvis Arson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doncic's waist but Doncic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Arson off to one side.

Arson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doncic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Doncic is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Doncic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doncic has managed to get both his arms back between Arson's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Doncic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Doncic is working Arson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Arson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Doncic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Arson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Doncic wants to take a breather but Arson is having none of it.

Doncic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Arson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
