Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erasmo Bezerra (ranked 3306 p4p, 3706 weight class) and Crush Bandicoot (ranked 0 p4p, 135 weight class). Bezerra has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Crush Bandicoot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crush Bandicoot!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Bezerra. No joy for Bandicoot on that attempt.
Bandicoot misses with a takedown attempt - Bezerra sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Crush Bandicoot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Erasmo Bezerra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crush Bandicoot.
Bandicoot looks winded!
Bezerra comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Bandicoot shoots in for a double leg but Bezerra sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bandicoot closes the distance and clinches up with Bezerra, looking for a takedown. Bandicoot pushes Bezerra against the cage but Bezerra circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bezerra has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Bezerra has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bandicoot takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Bezerra lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bandicoot is still in real trouble! Can Bezerra finish him?

Bezerra softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Bandicoot is out cold! Bezerra jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erasmo Bezerra!
