Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Saul Taylot (ranked 3613 p4p, 5508 weight class) and Derrick Ryker (ranked 388 p4p, 486 weight class). Derrick Ryker has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Saul Taylot's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saul Taylot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Ryker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Taylot fakes the leg kick and cracks Ryker in the body.
Taylot scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ryker doesn't manage to clinch there - Taylot circles away.
Taylot scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A punch lands to the side of Ryker 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Taylot darts in and clinches Ryker up against the cage.
Taylot unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Ryker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Taylot walks away with a smile on his face. Ryker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ryker tries to clinch there but Taylot circles away.

Taylot lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've been told by Taylot's head coaches at 3Band MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ryker tries to clinch there but Taylot circles away.
Taylot throws a sloppy head kick and Ryker moves out of range easily.
Ryker tries to clinch up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taylot swats away the attempt to clinch by Ryker.
Taylot keeps the fight on the outside.
Ryker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ryker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylot paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ryker is looking to clinch but Taylot is avoiding it.
Taylot scoring well with a low kick there.
Ryker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taylot swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Taylot feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Ryker wants to clinch up but Taylot keeps it at a distance.

Taylot gets tackled into the cage by Ryker. Ryker maintains the clinch.

Ryker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ryker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ryker pulls Taylot in close to his closed guard and prevents Taylot from doing any damage or advancing position.
Taylot tries to free his leg and advance position but Ryker is retaining full guard.
Taylot working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ryker's head.

Ryker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryker is pulling down on Taylot's head to control his posture.
Taylot has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Taylot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Ryker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Ryker working for a triangle but Taylot defends it easily.

Ryker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taylot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ryker has his feet on Taylot's thighs here. He's pushed Taylot off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Taylot screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
