Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aki Kulku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Weenis McGuinty!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulku connects with a leg kick.
Kulku lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McGuinty at a distance.
McGuinty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kulku tries to avoid it but McGuinty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kulku to the ground. Kulku escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McGuinty takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Weenis McGuinty has been cut.
Kulku lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
McGuinty is rocked!
Kulku throws a nice outside leg kick.
McGuinty is still on wobbly legs! Can Kulku finish him?
Kulku lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens McGuinty up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kulku from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw McGuinty's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aki Kulku!
