Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Angel Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Angel Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raul Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez. Torres looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but Torres persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing. Sanchez stuffs the takedown. Torres fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage. Torres controlling the action here for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Torres had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sanchez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Torres Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sanchez's back instead. Torres is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Sanchez looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres looking to break Sanchez's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sanchez remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Torres will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Sanchez breaks Torres's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Torres working for a triangle but Sanchez defends it easily.

Angel Torres dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sanchez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Sanchez looks to land a combination but Torres avoids it well. Sanchez stuffs the takedown attempt from Torres. Torres gets slowly back to his feet. Sanchez wants to clinch but Torres slips to the side and Torres counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sanchez won't be happy with that. Torres is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sanchez has escaped the position, nice work there. Torres working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sanchez to his feet. Torres circles away from the clinch attempt and Torres holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Torres tries to pull guard but Sanchez won't allow it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice glancing elbow lands by Sanchez. Torres jumps guard but Sanchez stands there with Torres around his waist. Torres gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sanchez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Torres counters with a single leg into guard. Sanchez didn't expect that. Torres wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving. Torres postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Torres, into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez passes Torres's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sanchez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sanchez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Torres looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angel Torres dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Sanchez looks to clinch and Torres counters with a single leg into guard. Sanchez didn't expect that. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Torres controlling him for the moment. Torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Torres controlling him for the moment.

Torres drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sanchez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Torres has Sanchez in his guard. Sanchez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Torres is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Torres is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Torres not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez preventing the sweep. Sanchez content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Torres has locked up a guillotine! Torres's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sanchez is holding on here and Torres must be using up a lot of energy. Sanchez has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Torres gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
