The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Voribiev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hernandez 's guard.

Voribiev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hernandez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Voribiev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Voribiev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Voribiev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Voribiev makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hernandez is rocked!
Voribiev working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hernandez 's head.
Hernandez is still in real trouble! Can Voribiev finish him?

Hernandez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Voribiev defends well.

Hernandez is looking for a triangle but Voribiev pushes his legs off easily.
Voribiev stands up over Hernandez , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Voribiev's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Voribiev gets to his feet and stands over Hernandez , holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hernandez felt that one! Voribiev unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hernandez from any more punishment!
