Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24350 p4p, 24289 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 31 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 36 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bitok shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Buktot as he avoids it easily. Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Bitok fails to land the takedown. Bitok dives in and scores a takedown into Buktot's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot is striking from the bottom but Bitok uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Buktot is looking to improve his position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot is positioning himself well to prevent Bitok advancing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Well, if Bitok is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Buktot desperately trying to maintain half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bitok perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Bitok.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok staying calm. Bitok working the strikes but Buktot uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Bitok content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bitok's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bitok is thwarting Buktot's attempts to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kulata Bitok dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bitok drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bitok is fighting to break Buktot's control of his arms but Buktot is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Buktot trying to keep a closed guard but Bitok is proving a slippery customer.
Bitok slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot pulls Bitok in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Buktot wants to sweep here but Bitok controlling him for the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bitok tries for a takedown but Buktot circles away easily and Buktot counters with a solid body kick. Bitok shoots in for a takedown but Buktot shows good takedown defense. Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick. Buktot fails with a takedown attempt. Bitok follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Bitok has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Buktot defends it nicely. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok. Buktot doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bitok tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buktot swivels and escapes. Buktot tries to counter with a takedown but Bitok is quick to defend against it. Bitok tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buktot sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bitok somewhat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kulata Bitok will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Buktot shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bitok defends it nicely. Bitok dives in and grabs Buktot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buktot pushes down on Bitok's head and hops out. Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Buktot pulls Bitok in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Buktot is proving hard to escape from. Bitok is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Buktot preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bitok trying to control the position from guard on top but Buktot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Buktot is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bitok controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bitok slaps away a takedown attempt from Buktot, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bitok let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bitok as he avoids it easily. Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bitok avoids the head kick by Buktot.
Bitok is trying to counter with his kicks. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buktot gets caught napping as Bitok dives in and scores a takedown. Buktot manages to retain guard. Buktot being controlled here, momentarily. Bitok trying to control but Buktot is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitok content to stall in guard here. Dawindi Buktot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kulata Bitok is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Buktot is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bitok is controlling him.
And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bitok winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
